Anganwadis are rural child care centres established by the Indian Government to combat child hunger and malnutrition as well as provide pre-schooling activities. Since 2017, PCIPL has adopted Anganwadis and collaborated with local Municipal Corporations to support them in numerous ways....
We believe that hygiene is of foremost importance when it comes to health and well-being of children. Especially with the acute malnutrition and high mortality rates amongst underprivileged children in the country. To combat this, PCIPL has developed its own Medical Mobile Van which visits our adopted Anganwadis with a doctor for regular check-ups of pregnant women and to distribute medicines, vitamin supplements, daily essentials etc. to improve their and their children’s health. Food is also provided to rural children to ensure they are properly nourished and grow up healthy.
Under its Health & Hygiene program, PCIPLoffers sanitary napkins at subsidized rates to women from weaker economic sections. Initiatives are carried out regularly to spread awareness about personal hygiene.
